Furiously catchy privately-released 7” from the mystery Neuland act, who.. and I could easily be mistaken, is connected to Düsseldorf’s Der Plan in someway. Regardless of whether that’s correct or not, Der Plan is a solid reference for this one with both tracks threaded with the playful, slightly absurdist feel found within the Ata Tak label. A-side packs in canned drum machine, a German children’s choir chorus and collaged dialogue into a novelty yet effective oddball that recalls the likes of Harte 10 or the David Chesworth featuring → ↑ → (tsk tsk tsk) group. Otherside runs with punchy electro drum programming, dramatic chords and delicate piano notes, totally unexpected. Ex-deadstock and much cheaper than d’scogzz… (Mint / New – unplayed)
